The world of fashion and beauty is a vibrant, ever-evolving universe, and building a career in this industry requires knowledge, strategy, and, above all, connections. That’s why, through the Internships and Career Services department at Vogue College of Fashion, we organize the annual Vogue Fashion & Beauty Career Forum, a key event designed to connect our master’s students with leading industry professionals.

This year’s edition, held on February 6, brought together experts, industry leaders, and influential companies for a full day of inspiration, learning, and networking.

Morning Session: Talks, Trends, and a Panel Discussion at UC3M

The event began in the auditorium of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) at the Puerta de Toledo campus, where Susana Ibáñez, Head of Careers at Vogue College of Fashion, welcomed attendees and introduced a day packed with key insights for building a strong professional path in the sector.

The first talk was led by David de la Iglesia (Senior Vice President, People International Markets, Condé Nast), who spoke on “Building a Successful Career in the Fashion and Beauty Industry: Strategy, Trends, and Keys to Standing Out in a Global Industry.” His presentation provided essential insights into the opportunities and challenges shaping the industry today.

Next, Inés Lorenzo (Head of Content, Vogue España) took us through two decades of transformation at Vogue with her talk “20 Years at Vogue: 20 Years of Change and Transformation.” She reflected on the evolution of fashion journalism and the impact of digitalization.

The conversation explored today’s recruitment challenges and how aspiring professionals can differentiate themselves in the highly competitive fashion and beauty job market.
