The Vogue Certificate in Fashion Communication is a focused ten-week programme designed to introduce students to the core principles and skills needed to succeed in the fast-paced world of fashion and media communication. Drawing from the expertise of Vogue and Condé Nast, the course covers branding essentials such as; brand identity and design, branding theory and practice, as well as understanding your audience and adopting appropriate communication strategies.

Over ten weeks, you’ll learn about logo design, creating brand guidelines, developing a communication campaign and how to develop your portfolio of work. This certificate is ideal for aspiring fashion content creators, brand strategists, or anyone thinking of starting their own fashion brand or company.

Through lectures, workshops and real-world case studies, you will gain practical experience and professional insights, connecting with industry experts from a range of different companies and fashion markets.

Each module is crafted to build key competencies in fashion communication, with a focus on brand identity and design, visual storytelling and communicating with a target audience. Modules include:

Fashion Branding & Communication

Discover key principles of branding and the role of communication in shaping a brand’s identity. Students will explore storytelling, visuals, and marketing strategies used by fashion brands to connect with audiences, focusing on digital platforms, advertising, and PR. It emphasises brand consistency, customer loyalty, and the influence of trends on communication strategies.

Brand Identity & Design

This module focuses on the visual and conceptual elements that define a fashion brand’s identity. Students will explore logo design, colour palettes, typography, and packaging to create cohesive brand aesthetics. Through case studies and design exercises, students learn how strong branding enhances a brand’s presence in the fashion industry.

Professional Development Portfolio

Develop a professional portfolio that highlights creative work and skills. It covers how to present projects, build a CV, and create a personal brand for fashion industry roles. Students will learn to tailor their portfolios for specific opportunities, preparing them for careers or further studies.

Accrediting Body & Award Structure

This programme holds international recognition as a qualification accredited and conferred by The University of Buckingham. It is structured as a term-long programme at RQF level 4. The programme combines academic rigour and industry engagement with practical and professional skills, drawing on the expertise of Vogue’s wide network of industry professionals.

Credits

The certificate carries a value of 45 credits within the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) at level 4, equivalent to 22.5 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits.

Deposit Payment & Instalment Options

To secure your place on the course, a deposit of £3,000 is required within 14 days of receiving your offer. Please note, the deposit option is unavailable for bookings made within six weeks of the course start date where full course fees are required.

Students do not have the option to pay the tuition fee in instalments for this course.

Student Loans, Scholarships, & Bursaries

Students studying at Vogue College of Fashion are currently ineligible for student loans.
