Internships

Requirements for Internships in Spain

According to current legislation in Spain (Royal Decree-Law 2/2023 of March 16), internship students will start contributing to social security as of January 1, 2024.

To this end, it is mandatory for all students, Spanish and foreign, to have their Social Security number prior to applying for their internship. This condition applies to paid and unpaid internships, both for curricular and extracurricular internships.

The hiring company will register the student with the Spanish Social Security for the duration of the internship.

It is the responsibility of each student to obtain information and process this requirement from their country of origin or in Spain, with a competent agency that can guide them depending on their nationality or specific situation. It is important to keep in mind that these procedures may take some time, which will affect the achievement of internships in the desired time.

At Vogue College of Fashion we do not process these documents.

It is important to have a valid insurance policy during your internship in Spain, so as long as you are a student at Vogue College of Fashion, this policy is covered by the school insurance of the corresponding University according to the Diploma.

Since in the Diplomas, internships are NOT COMPULSORY, but OPTIONAL, students who want to apply for the available places, must have solved the previous requirement but also take into account that these internships ARE NOT GUARANTEED, as they are not a necessary subject to pass the course and the availability of places depends on the needs of the companies in the hours and period that lasts the Diploma.

See the complete document with the important requirements for internships, here.
