Vogue’s 5 Days of Beauty Business course is an intensive programme designed to give you an understanding of how the beauty industry operates. You’ll explore key areas such as beauty branding, marketing and PR strategies, beauty futures and sustainability, as well as the impact of digital innovation on the beauty market.

Throughout the week, you’ll be guided by Vogue’s network of beauty and business professionals as well as key industry guests, gaining insights into the processes behind building a successful beauty brand. This course is perfect for aspiring beauty entrepreneurs, marketers, or anyone looking to expand their knowledge of the beauty industry.

The programme connects students with industry professionals including those working for Vogue and Condé Nast, providing a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business. By the end of the programme, you will have developed a concept and created a beauty Insta shoot (in collaboration with a beauty brand) as well as developing your own beauty pages for a Vogue Proposal final project that incorporates the latest trends and consumer demands.

The course focuses on the key areas of the beauty industry to equip you with practical knowledge and industry insight:

Business & Entrepreneurship

You’ll learn from fashion and beauty entreprenuers how to explore business models as well as determining the skills to succeed in the competitive beauty industry. Focusing on the essentials of launching and growing a business.

Social Media Marketing

Learn how to craft effective social media strategies tailored to beauty brands. This area covers case studies, content creation, audience engagement, and performance analytics, equipping you with the tools to build a strong online presence.

Brand Communication, Promotion, & Beauty PR

Delve into the core principles of brand communication and PR within the beauty industry. You’ll explore strategies for promoting beauty brands, managing public relations, and maintaining consistent messaging across various platforms.

Beauty Influencers & TikTok

Discover the growing influence of beauty creators on platforms like TikTok. You’ll examine how influencers drive trends and consumer behaviour, and how brands can leverage these partnerships to expand their reach.

Beauty Futures, Forecasting & Sustainability

Gain a forward-looking perspective on the beauty industry by exploring trends, forecasting methods, and sustainable practices. This theme highlights the future of beauty and the importance of adopting responsible, eco-friendly approaches.

Creating an Instagram Shoot in Collaboration with a Beauty Brand

In this hands-on area of study, you’ll work with a Creative Director and a beauty brand to plan and execute an Instagram photoshoot. Develop your visual storytelling skills, creating impactful content that aligns with the brand’s identity and marketing goals.

Structure

This five-day intensive programme covers essential topics in the beauty business, combining workshops, expert talks, and hands-on projects to provide a practical and well-rounded understanding of the industry.

You’ll explore how the sector operates, gaining insight into both large corporations and smaller independent brands. The course covers strategic marketing through branding and PR, highlighting how beauty brands drive demand using influencer and peer endorsements. You’ll also examine global trends shaping consumer behaviour, with a focus on the ethical challenges beauty brands face today.

This programme is awarded by Vogue College of Fashion. It is structured as a five-day programme. The programme combines academic rigour and industry engagement with practical and professional skills, drawing on the expertise of Vogue’s wide network of industry professionals.

Credits

The course carries no credits within the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

This short programme contains tasks, experiences and opportunities designed to equip you with the introductory skills, knowledge and practice crucial for starting to build a successful career in fashion from personal development to professional practice.

Within the course content, there will be career and professional development elements and activities available to you such as meeting industry professionals, learning about different career journeys and understanding potential careers opportunities.

To secure your place on the course, the tuition fee must be paid in full at the point of booking. Please note, there is no deposit option available for bookings.

Students do not have the option to pay the tuition fee in instalments for this course.

Student Loans, Scholarships, & Bursaries

Students studying at Vogue College of Fashion are currently ineligible for student loans.
